Promote Your Business With Facebook Events

The Facebook ‘Events’ tool is a very useful tool for local businesses who are attempting to improve their online social profile. With this in mind, it is important to know how use the tool correctly.

Once you reach the stage where you have chosen an image and completed a write-up about the event, you need to invite people directly on Facebook. You should send out as many invites as possible, and try to encourage those who state that they will attend, to forward invites onto their own network of friends.

Make sure you create the event from your business fan page and not from your personal profile. This will appear far more professional. It is also good to remember when setting up the event, to choose the option that shows the list of attendees and non-attendees.  This is crucial to the growth of an event. Pay attention to those on your ‘maybe’ list, as these are people who just need a little bit more encouragement. Try encouraging these people by running promotions on your events wall etc. Try giving away discounts and coupons for example. Your goal is to make the ‘maybe’s’ make the final decision to attend your event.

Events are most successful when combined with a supporting Facebook ad campaign. Promote your event all over Facebook to try and increase the interest level in it. Try setting up a registration page somewhere outside of Facebook, and include the appropriate social media buttons to add to the effectiveness. In addition, offering people something for free always goes down well.
