Online Retailers Set for Cyber Monday

The date has been set in the dairies for a while, but with the magic day only 7 days away online retailers can really get excited as some promising forecasts have been predicted. The date is the 29th November and it is the Monday that follows Black Friday(the Friday following Thanksgiving in the US). This Monday is typically the busiest internet shopping day of the year and has been coined “Cyber Monday”.

It has been predicted that internet shoppers are set to spend a whooping £537 million in one day. The Price Comparison Website Kelkoo has forecast the overall online sales for the Christmas period will reach £68.7 billion which is and increase on 2009 by £862 million (or 1.3%).

According to Google, 73% of consumers have started researching their Christmas Purchases and 89% of those consumers have started shopping online.
