Kelkoo has announced that it will enter the American market expanding its 2 million products and 1500 ecommerce companies outside of Europe. The engine plans to use its .com domain as a simple product search engine.
The Yahoo owned company has long been a major force in European Price Comparison market. The European domain generates more than a million visitors per month. The American market already has big players such Shopping.com and PriceGrabber operating out there for some time. So the task is not small to say the least but it’s all part of their international expansion strategy.
They believe the American market holds huge potential and will be the first move in building a global brand. Let’s hope their slogan ‘ Find. Compare. Save. ‘ works just as well as I does for the European market.
