IPA Announced the British are Spending Longer on the Internet

A recent survey conducted by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) has found that British people are spending 38 per cent longer on the online compared 2008. The IPA states this increase is due to social media sites.

According to the survey it found the average Brit spent 1.8 hours a day on the internet. Comparing Twitter with Facebook, Facebook proved to be the more popular. 35% of adults state using Facebook at least once a week where as only 4% admit they use Twitter once a week.

Facebook saw the age group 15 – 24 have massive increase in reach compared to 2008.  In 2008 Facebook reached 39% of this age group which has recently increased to 79% reach
