Google rolls out Seller Rating feature in the UK

Filed in PPC , SEM , Search 0 comments

Google has launched its Seller Rating feature in the UK, after successfully trialling the feature in the USA earlier this year. The Seller Rating feature is similar to that used by eBay, where the consumer can identify highly-rated merchants by seeing their ratings within their Google Adwords ads.

It has been suggested that Google are hoping to roll this feature out worldwide in the near future, but are currently focusing their attentions on seeing how it performs in the largest markets. Google have declared that they are ‘encouraged’ by the Seller Ratings effect in the USA and clearly think it will work in other markets. This feature yet again underlines Google’s insistence on prioritising a quality user experience for its users and is sure to go down well on this side of the Atlantic, particularly for those retailers with good customer service.

In order to qualify for Seller Rating feature, advertisers must have a minimum of thirty reviews on Google’s Product Search as well as a four star score. As ever, Network Intellect are keen to trial this feature on our wide range of clients who meet the criteria, we will be sure to inform you of how we get on!
