Branding Online Part 2

Filed in Brand Reputation 0 comments

So as promised here is the second part of my thoughts on why branding online is going to grow.

I would imagine that most companies out there have cut if not most but all of their marketing cost on branding during a recession. This presumption is made due to the fact business can focus online activity to areas that generate the most return.

Branding is generally not considered a marketing avenue that generates a lot of return. The reason behind this is simple, branding efforts are not structured to generate sales. Branding efforts are geared towards building a strong identity that makes you stand out amongst your competitors. So, how do track what and if consumers are thinking about your brand when they come to make a purchase?

The online medium can be used to track the progress of your brand building.  This is where social networks coming into the mixture. In order to track the progress of your brand what better way do you have other than monitoring the progress of you social media efforts. If you have a strong social media presence it would naturally determine that your brand is reasonable strong.

This medium encourages discussion, the sharing of views and the promotion of the personal brand. Essential consumers are creating their own personal brand via these mediums and acquiring the online space to promote their individual personalities so why wouldn’t businesses. Clear objectives need to be set so that analysis of the results achieved will report the progress/success of the brand building.

I believe most people understand the added benefits of tracking PPC Search Marketing Campaigns but I believe it’s time to apply these benefits to other areas.
