When it comes to writing blogs post there are many people who don’t follow good standards. So we are going to point out six tips for writing a good blog posts.

1: Engaging Content

When it comes to content, you must always consider the readers, don’t write for yourself, instead write the content for your readers, these are the people who will make or break your blog. Always have a personal style that flows throughout your blog. If you are writing for a company blog make sure that only a few people maintain the blog to keep the blog consistent.

2: Adding Images

When creating your blog post, where possible add some images to the blog post, reading a post is a lot easier if the reader can take their eyes off pure text, it also helps with making the content more engaging, people are naturally drawn to imagery more than they are reading just text. This is of course dependent on the blog content.

3: Consider Typography

Having excellent typography flowing throughout a blog is as important as providing the readers with engaging content. Use heading tag and space out the content; don’t use multiple fonts on the blog. Think about using one font for the title and headings and the other for the main content.

4: Good Title.

When writing the title for your blog post, there are a couple of points to focus on.

  • Search engines will read the title of your post so using the right keywords in the title will allow more people who are looking for information about a certain subject to find your post.
  • When people search for something, they enter the information as they think it will be said. For example:  “the latest skateboarding craze”. If your blog is about skateboarding and your post is on the latest craze, your post title should be along the lines of “top ten skateboarding ramps craze”. Keep the titles consistent with the blog.

5: Don’t Write About What You Don’t Know

The worse blogs are the blogs were people write about things they have no understanding about a certain subject or field, but want to jump on a trend to make out like they know what they’re talking about. The professionals who work in these areas know their profession inside out. If they come across your post looking for genuine information and you have no idea about that subject you will make yourself look stupid. Instead focus on what you know and share that knowledge with the community.

6: Enagement And Interaction

Finally, engage with your users and ask them to interact with you. This make the user feel like part of your blog. If they ask questions, respond. If they leave a comment good or bad allow it to the comments list, then reply to the comment. This shows other users that you’re not shy to debate on something a user questions.
