4 Tips For Keeping Visitors On Your Facebook Page

Filed in Social Media , Top Tips 0 comments

When visitors stay on the same site for a long period of time the site is known as “sticky”. It is important when using Facebook, to understand how to get your fans to be social when they come to your page. Your Facebook presence is measured by fan count, so “likes” and “shares” are important.

If you do not discover how to create a sticky face book page, you could be left feeling very disappointed with your social marketing investment. With this in mind, here are some tips for making your Facebook page sticky:

1. Make The Content Engaging

People spend most of their time in the news feed. The more engaging you make the content, the more people will interact with it. The more people interact with the content, the longer it will stay in the news feed.  This in turn creates more changes for increasing engagement, and so it carries on.

The viral effect of users engaging with updates and sharing them with all their friends, creates more chances for “likes” of your fan page.

2. Take Advantage Of Your Already “Sticky” Site

If your website is already sticky, take advantage of this and make your site social. Add share features and “like” buttons to your site. By doing this you are allowing users to share with their friends and draw them into the Facebook page. Friends pay a lot of attentions to what their friends like, so this backing is of great value.

3. Engage Across Channels

Make use of other channels that share back onto Facebook in order to intensify your brand message. A good example is the use of Check-ins as they do not require the user to visit the Facebook page, but they are still sharing their attraction to the brand, with a larger audience.

4. Avoid Being Hidden On News Feeds

An important thing to do is to make sure you listen to your audience. Find out what its members want from you on Facebook, and publish content accordingly. If you are giving your fans what they want, they will not hide you from their news feed, and they are more likely to continue engaging with you.

Facebook is social and people join Facebook to interact with their friends. Your goal is to engage, increase that engagement, and encourage repeat interactions. Remember that “likes” are a very strong connection with your loyal followers, but they can easily hide your from their newsfeed or “unlike” you, so keep it social in order for your page to stay sticky.
