With Google+ having a confirmed audience of 10 million users and findings reporting there were 20 million visitors to the new social platform during the first 21 weeks of it being around, it is safe to say that Google+ is off to a good start.
With this in mind, here are four steps to help map out brand pages:
1. Research Your Community
Check to see if your key brand influencers are already active on Google+ otherwise you ware wasting time and money on your efforts.
2. Choose Your Success Metrics
Establish what you can measure on Google+ to determine success for your marketing goals. Create a list of all the metrics you can measure from the word go, such as clicks, comments etc.
3. Create Your Community Strategy
Before you start marketing to Google+ users, you need to put a strong community strategy in place. Develop a plan that answers questions such as what target audiences are looking for from this channel, what the possible ways to communicate in this channel are, etc.
4. Organise A Rollout Plan
Create a content rollout plan that will ensure that you do not bombard your targets with unwanted messages. Start off gradually and tweak content determined by the reactions that you receive.
Do not forget to use your current social media platforms to inform your communities about your new Google+ presence.
